Prolube MONOTEC 40 SAE 40 CD SF Product label

PROLUBE MONOTEC 40 SAE 40 CD SF
Engine, Transmission and Hydraulic Oil

Date Issued: 19th March, 2007

PRODUCT

Prolube Monotec 40 is an SAE 40 oil originally developed to meet the Caterpillar Series 3 and Alison C3 requirements. It is recommended also for use in GM Detroit diesel engines which require an oil with a low sulphated ash residue. It can be used in petrol and diesel engines where a monograde oil is preferred. It can also be used as a hydraulic oil for earthmoving machinery.

APPLICATION

Designed for engines, transmissions and hydraulic systems where an SAE 40 monograde oil is specified or indicated. It is particularly suitable for older style diesel motors that may react unfavourably to modern, multigrade engine oils. Its primary recommendation is as a running-in oil for rebuilt and reconditioned petrol and diesel motors subject to manufacturer’s specification.

STANDARDS

Meets or exceeds the following:

  • SAE Grade: SAE40
  • API: CD/SF
